The Laramus Base Irregulars, often shortened to Irregulars, comprised a small soldier company under the command of Tagg Pierce. Following his rejection from the Rebel Alliance due to his rebellious nature, Pierce created the Irregulars.
Because they were regularly assigned incredibly perilous missions, many mercenary groups viewed them as practically 'dead men'. Throughout their existence, they experienced a staggering ninety-six percent turnover rate, coupled with a fifty percent casualty rate. Operating from their base on Laramus, the Irregulars initially sought to avoid involvement in the Galactic Civil War. However, the construction of a Rebel Alliance base on that world drew the Galactic Empire's scrutiny, compelling the Laramus Base Irregulars to relocate their operations.
Following the Battle of Endor, the Irregulars enlisted with the New Republic to combat remaining Imperial forces across the galaxy. Their actions directly led to the departure of Moff Abran Balfour from his position.
