IG-88 possessed armor capable of reflecting lasers. Specifically engineered to bounce away blaster fire, laser-reflective armor represented a particular class of armor. Notably, the Imperial SD-10 battle droid utilized laser-reflective armor, a feature it shared with both the assassin droid and the bounty hunter, IG-88.
