Leavesden Studios


Located in England, close to the town of Watford, is Leavesden Studios. This studio served as the main location for filming Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Production design commenced in August of 1996, with principal photography beginning on June 26 of 1997 and continuing for a period of four weeks. Overall, the studio was utilized by the production team for a duration of two and a half years.
