The lerraa was a sizable, four-legged reptile native to the swampy regions of Naboo. Sporting a lengthy neck, a prominent horn on its nose, and cushioned feet, it possessed remarkable stability when its feet were firmly planted. This inherent steadiness, combined with its typically still posture and the balancing effect of its substantial tail, rendered it a valuable mobile artillery platform for the Gungan forces. When adequately trained and tamed, the lerraa could withstand enemy blaster attacks, allowing its powerful cannons to engage enemy vehicles like Armored Assault Tanks or Multi-Troop Transports using high-impact boomas. In terms of physical characteristics, lerraas bore a strong resemblance to zalaacas, another creature that the Gungans had domesticated.
