Liberation of Klemark

―General Vander During the Galactic War, General Vander commanded a Republic force sent to Altair 9 to liberate the planet. After a ten-month siege of the planet’s capital, Klemark, the world was finally freed from Imperial control with the assistance of the SpecForce unit Eclipse Squad, whose members infiltrated the city and deactivated its defenses.

Aftermath

Following the battle, every Imperial defender had either been killed or captured, and food and other aid were later supplied to the long-suffering population of Altair 9. In the hours after this victory, General Vander would address a small group of journalists, saying "truly, this is a stunning victory that all Republic citizens can feel proud of!"The hard-fought victory would not last long, however, as the SpecForce Squad responsible for the sudden triumph soon became unstable. A fight erupted at Fort Klemark, leaving 200 Republic soldiers dead, after which Eclipse Squad disappeared.
