The Lifedetec bioscanner, a creation of CryonCorp, served as a tool frequently utilized by both scientists and security staff, designed for the detection of living organisms. This device, the Lifedetect, possessed the capability to not only identify the location of these lifeforms but also to ascertain their species, provided the corresponding species profile was present within its database. Resembling the dimensions of a portable computer, the Lifedetec incorporated a shoulder strap to facilitate convenient transportation. Functioning as a predecessor to the EnhanceScan general-purpose scanner, the Lifedetect lacked the advanced features of its successor, such as communication capabilities, metal detection, and motion sensor functionality.
