Its capabilities included the ability to deflect incoming attacks from both lightsabers and blaster bolts. The device is constructed in the form of an arm bracer, designed to be worn on the arm opposite the lightsaber arm, and it boasts instantaneous activation.
In operation, the energy shield manifests as a luminous, semi-transparent buckler that projects from a spherical node located on the bracer. Its size is adjustable, ranging from 0.3 meters to 1.1 meters in diameter. Depending on the Jedi's skill in crafting, the shields can be configured into various shapes, with surface areas reaching up to 1.5 meters.
