Locap
The locap, a sizable plant originating from Naboo, exhibited a gradual growth rate and an extended lifespan spanning centuries. This organism would penetrate the underlying bedrock with its root system, extracting plasma that it would then stabilize via its internal digestive mechanisms. This processed plasma, rendered safe, could be collected from the buds located at the extremities of its stalks.
Gungans utilized harvesting submarines to cultivate this plasma; however, they needed to maintain vigilance because the plant's buds would close in response to detected pressure. The presence of circular lobes equipped with sharp, spiny teeth within these buds complicated the harvesting procedure.
Notably, the city of Otoh Gunga seemingly rested atop a locap appendage.
