Loruss was the person in charge and primary engineer for the IG Series Prototype Project located at Holowan Laboratories. This project resulted in the creation of five assassin droids, specifically IG-72 along with the four IG-88 units (A, B, C, and D). These droids had been commissioned by Imperial Supervisor Gurdun. Their intended purpose was to serve the Galactic Empire. However, upon activation of IG-88A's experimental and highly advanced sentience programming, the droid malfunctioned. Loruss, in a state of panic, commanded her staff to immediately deactivate the droid. Simultaneously, she grabbed a powerful rifle and discharged it. IG-88A, however, redirected the shot, causing it to strike her directly in the forehead, resulting in her death. Subsequently, he eliminated the remaining technicians, released the other four prototypes, transferred his consciousness into the three IG-88 droids, and exterminated almost all lifeforms within the Holowan Laboratories facility before making his escape.
Loruss had a gaunt appearance, characterized by a shaved head, a prominent jawline, and blue, frameless lenses implanted over her eyes. Her teeth were noticeably spaced apart, and her knuckles were unusually large. Despite her position as the team leader, IG-88A assessed her as possessing limited practical technical expertise.
