Loth, situated within the Loth system of the Inner Rim's region, was a planet-like astronomical entity. Its landscape was noted for the presence of geological formations called rubygrub cysts.
The planet Loth made its initial appearance in Galaxy Guide 2: Yavin and Bespin, a resource released in 1989 by West End Games for the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The 2009 book The Essential Atlas specified the location of the Loth system, and consequently Loth itself, as grid J-8.
