The Lythos system, a system situated within the bounds of the Corporate Sector, was home to the planet called Lythos Nine. It is noteworthy that Lythos VI, VII, VIII, and IX were all important agricultural planets.
For miners, the options were limited to two planets rich in minerals: Lythos I, a tidally locked world baked on one side and mined on the other, or Lythos XIV, a freezing planet swept by incredibly fast winds. This undesirable choice between two equally difficult scenarios was dubbed "Picking Between One and Fourteen", which subsequently became a slang expression used by miners operating in the Corporate Sector.
