A magfield sensor ball served as a sensory input mechanism employed within the Mark II reactor drone, a particular style of droid. It featured a metallic sphere housed within a contact cage; this design let the droid "sense" its environment whenever the sphere made contact with the cage. A neutral polarity node was also a component of the magfield sensor ball.
