Sometime following the Clone Wars, its construction occurred at Kuat Drive Yards above Kuat.
Grand Admiral Zaarin successfully intercepted and inflicted damage upon this ship, with the Emperor present, during a coup attempt against the Empire a few months prior to the Battle of Endor.
It is highly probable that both the Emperor and the Majestic would have been captured by Zaarin if Darth Vader, followed by then-Vice Admiral Thrawn on the Star Destroyer Vanguard([/article/vanguard_(imperial-class)]), had not arrived promptly.
