The makrin creeper, an insectoid species, originated from the planet Makeb. These creatures, resembling a combination of earth and wood, actually possessed a natural camouflage composed of muscle cords and nerve-rich tissue.
During the Galactic War, when the Hutt Cartel seized control of Makeb, the makrin's native world, some of these creatures became surprisingly strong adversaries against those who sought to exploit Makeb's natural resources, despite typically being peaceful unless provoked. Dishonest merchants were known to deceive tourists by selling ordinary tree branches as "Creeper Trophies." Travelers sometimes unknowingly camped on small mounds that were, in fact, large Makrin Creepers camouflaged by partially burying themselves. Furthermore, certain makrin creepers were seen ejecting a viscous fluid at their foes.
