Martin Asbury

British comic book and storyboard artist Martin Asbury received his education at London's St. Martin's School of Art. His career in comics began in the UK during the early 1970s, which included working on Flash Gordon. From 1974 to 1981, he gained recognition throughout the 70s and 80s for his work on film and television adaptations, creating numerous comic strips for Look-in, such as "Kung Fu", "Battlestar Galactica", and "The Six Million Dollar Man". Additionally, he worked on "Doctor Who" for TV Comic in 1975. Taking over the science fiction strip Garth in 1976 from Frank Bellamy in the Daily Mirror, he initially served as both the author and illustrator, eventually illustrating scripts written by others until the strip's conclusion in 1997.

In 1982, he created a two-page Star Wars comic for TV Times, a British TV guide publication.

Currently, his primary focus is on creating film storyboards, with credits including movies such as Chicken Run, Casino Royale, Troy, and Chaplin.
