Master Fate

The well-known Wroonian story of Master Fate was a cornerstone of their cultural life philosophy. This figure, Master Fate, embodied the winds and tides that were helpful to the original Wroonian sailors. Wroonians depicted Master Fate as a cheerful, elderly man, notable for his large blue beard, which they thought symbolized the color of both the oceans and the sky. "Fate's Pleasure" was the name given to the blessing bestowed upon those who devoutly served Master Fate. Nevertheless, Fate's unpredictable temperament could also manifest in the form of violent storms or completely still seas. Even after Wroonians began traveling among the stars, many continued to use Master Fate's name, either to express gratitude or to utter curses.
