The fungal species referred to as Meadlin's tree thrived on the planet of Nyriaan. Their nomenclature originates from the Ithorian botanist credited with their initial discovery.
On Nyriaan, Meadlin's trees were the large fungal lifeforms, capable of reaching heights of sixty meters. However, accounts suggest that certain examples in unexplored areas of the planet achieved double that size. These trees developed in clusters, intertwining and fusing as they matured, ultimately establishing intricate networks spanning several kilometers. The spherical spore buds of these formations also gave off a faint blue luminescence.
The most extensive networks of Meadlin's trees flourished within Nyriaan's caverns and canyons. The indigenous Nyriaanans frequently inhabited these networks, tending to the trees and manipulating their growth to create defensive structures from their branches.
