The Mechis III Uprising refers to an event that occurred after the Holowan Massacre, during which the IG-88s seized control of the droid foundry world of Mechis III from its Human overseers.
Following his escape from Holowan Laboratories, IG-88A conceived a plan for a droid rebellion, aiming for droids to overthrow their organic superiors and govern the galaxy. The initial phase involved capturing the foundry world of Mechis III, a prominent droid manufacturing center. Their intention was to utilize the planet's extensive industrial facilities to build a droid army for their revolution; however, they first needed to eliminate the organic population present on the planet.
En route to the planet aboard their vessel, they gained access to the planet's security infrastructure by hacking into it. They then redirected the planet's computer networks and broadcasted a signal, transferring their consciousness into the minds of all droids. With assistance from the Administrative Droid 3D-4X, the IG-88s gained complete authority over all droids located on Mechis III.
Following their instructions, the droid operatives on the planet rebelled against their organic superiors, eliminating all 73 Human staff members within a mere five minutes. Before even landing on the planet, IG-88 had complete dominion over the entire world.
