Mechu-deru vitae was a Force ability aligned with the dark side, enabling its practitioner to generate Sithspawn referred to as technobeasts. This ability was developed by the Sith Lord Belia Darzu, who based it on mechu-deru, a method that provides complete command of machinery by utilizing the Force. Darzu combined her understanding of mechu-deru with Sith alchemy to produce a technovirus that could transmute organic tissue into metallic components, ultimately resulting in the creation of technobeasts. Consequently, the process employed to bring these entities into existence was designated mechu-deru vitae.
