Avar Kriss, a Jedi Master, journeyed to Merisee in 229 BBY while she was confined within the Occlusion Zone; to aid the planet's inhabitants, she bartered her diadem for sustenance. The planet also served as the battleground for a skirmish during the Galactic Civil War.
