Mia Ikova was a female Human who held the position of elected leader for Haleodaon Kattada. In addition, she showed support for the Rebel Alliance throughout the Galactic Civil War.
Ikova offered sanctuary to Princess Leia Organa during her time on Kattada one year prior to the Battle of Yavin. While the princess was seeking shelter, she was discovered by stormtroopers and taken prisoner along with Mia Ikova.
Commander [Karg] and his stormtroopers shot her, and she died aboard Leia's starship. Before her death, she comforted a grieving Leia by reminding her of her purpose to liberate the galaxy and assuring her that Leia bore no responsibility for her passing.
