Michaela Coel

Michaela Coel, whose birth name is Michaela-Moses Ewuraba O Boakye-Collison and who was born on October 1, 1987, is a British actress and screenwriter. She played the part of a Resistance tactical officer in the film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi.

Coel spent several days filming her part on the UK set of The Last Jedi. Before the movie came out, Coel discussed her role in an interview. She didn't consider it a cameo, explaining that she simply sat on a spaceship, spoke only three words, and believed her scenes would be cut. Nevertheless, Coel found the experience enjoyable because it involved Star Wars.
