Mimbanites constituted one of the indigenous species residing on the planet of Mimban.
Sharing humanoid characteristics with the Coway, Mimbanites possessed short fur; however, they exhibited a smaller stature and a less sturdy build. Their fur displayed a green hue, leading to the pejorative designation Greenies. (This insulting name was also used for Rodians.)
The designation "Mimbanite" also encompasses a species of four-legged, furry creatures that dwelled on the planet. The level of sentience of these quadrupeds—whether sentient, non-sentient, or possessing partial sentience—remains uncertain.
Unlike their Coway relatives, who sought refuge in the deep swamp caves, Mimbanites found themselves in a dire situation when the Galactic Empire established its mining enterprises. They were relegated to scavenging through refuse piles and pleading for alcohol. The Imperial forces and miners held this formerly dignified people in utter disdain.
