Minelayer (starship type)
A minelayer referred to any starship created for the purpose of placing space mines in the vicinity of a designated target.
Characteristics
These spaceships invariably included one or more minelaying systems and tended to be relatively compact capital ships. A representative minelayer design was the Nonvideor-class vessel.
