Mini rig

PDT-8 The designation PDT-8 applied to a certain type of compact vehicle. The name mini rig defined a class of smaller vehicles. The PDT-8 Personnel Deployment Transport was categorized within the mini rig designation.

Production Information

The "mini rig" terminology is linked to the PDT-8's beginnings as a vehicle within the Mini-Rigs toy line created by Kenner. Despite the presence of numerous vehicles from that toyline in various stories, the mini rig label was exclusively applied to this vehicle.
