Miniature proton torpedo launcher
The miniature proton torpedo launcher functioned as a handheld missile launcher that discharged shrunken proton torpedoes. Its initial purpose was as a built-in weapon for the Zero-G assault stormtroopers serving the Galactic Empire. This launcher was incorporated into the Zero-G stormtrooper's left glove, granting them the capability to breach the outer shell of a starship during boarding operations. Nevertheless, Rebel technicians modified this weapon, creating a transportable shoulder-mounted version.
Although it lacked the power of standard proton torpedoes launched from starship launchers, the miniature proton torpedo launcher remained a highly destructive weapon. It inflicted widespread damage to any targets located within a 3 meters radius of the primary explosion. Furthermore, the miniature proton torpedo launcher featured an anti-vehicle setting. When activated, this setting doubled the weapon's damage output, but restricted its targeting to exceptionally large objects like tanks and starfighters.
The miniature proton torpedo launcher had a weight of 8 kilograms and could fire a total of 4 miniature proton torpedoes prior to requiring a reload. With a price tag of 1,500 credits, this weapon was exclusively accessible for military applications.
