Miniature rail cannon
A small-scale rail cannon, which can also be referred to as a mini rail gun, represented a compact Rail gun manufactured by the Tac-Spec Corporation.
This miniature rail cannon, which came standard on FIII Footman droids, measured no more than half the size of a human hand. It launched diminutive metal projectiles via electromagnetic propulsion, resulting in extreme projectile acceleration that imparted kinetic energy far exceeding its compact dimensions. This process mirrored that of the more widely recognized Verpine shatter guns. However, the damage inflicted by these projectiles paled in comparison to the notorious shatter guns, as they could be intercepted by robust armor. Furthermore, like other rail guns, they generated visible tracers and muzzle flashes upon firing.
The Rika/Moab mini rail cannon served as a frequently implemented enhancement for the standard miniature rail gun.
