Mining Explorer

A sizable utility spacecraft employed for the purposes of investigation and discovery was known as a Mining Explorer.

Characteristics

These vessels featured hulls adorned with a verdant hue and boasted a configuration of three propulsion units situated at the rear. Aircraft storage bays were positioned approximately at the center of the structure. The approximate length of a Mining Explorer was in the vicinity of 500 meters, as inferred from the length of its shadow cast upon a Tagge Battle Cruiser. These spacecraft possessed the capacity to function within the majority of planetary atmospheric conditions.

History

These vessels were operated by the Tagge Mining Company, which itself was a division of the Tagge Company. Their genesis stemmed from the refusal of rival large companies to supply vessels to Tagge Company, an action intended to impede their commercial activities. They fulfilled roles encompassing bulk cargo transport, survey operations, and colonial relocation. Nevertheless, their primary function within the remote regions was the pursuit of spice, thus earning them the moniker "Spice Sniffer," achieved through the deployment of probes from the expansive lower bay.

Baron Orman Tagge along with his sibling Domina frequently utilized a Mining Explorer as their respective flagships.
