Around the time of 3642 BBY, which was during the Galactic War, the Sarkhai monarchs, the King and Queen, sought to improve relations between the Galactic Republic and the Rift Alliance. Their plan involved offering a unit of Sarkhai troopers to the Barsen'thor of the Jedi Order. Due to the Barsen'thor's engagement with a problem on the planet Hoth, Senator Tobas Grell dispatched Augin Blaesus, a representative, to the royal ceremony at Waypoint Station Three. Nevertheless, after the discovery of Blaesus potentially being an Imperial spy, Grell sent the Barsen'thor on a mission to rescue the Sarkhai royal family.
