MM9 mini concussion rocket launcher
The MM9 mini concussion rocket launcher, alternatively called an MM9 wrist rocket, functioned as a wrist rocket launcher capable of launching different kinds of wrist rockets.
Description
This weapon, known as the MM9 mini concussion rocket launcher, was a powerful piece of equipment that incorporated computer-assisted target tracking. Bounty hunters favored it greatly, while law enforcement agencies held it in considerably less esteem. Designed to be mounted on the wrist, its construction included an overhang to protect the user from self-inflicted injuries. The types of rockets it could fire depended on the user's requirements and financial resources.
Among the rocket types compatible with the MM9 were the Type-12A Anti-Personnel Rocket, the Type-12B Hollow-Tip Rocket, and the Merr Sonn 1126 rocket. Furthermore, the MM9 could deploy both unguided rockets (lacking tracking capabilities) and homing missiles. This functionality was achieved through the combined computer systems of the wristband and the rocket. The system locked onto movement in the target area, and the missile's laser guidance system enabled it to precisely track its targets. A button press initiated the launch of the missile.
History
Boba Fett and his father, Jango Fett, significantly popularized this weapon. An instance of its use was also recorded during the Separatist siege of Kamino when the ARC Trooper Alpha employed it against two droidekas.
