Mod-3 is seen on the Guardian Mantis. Mod-3 represents an R2-series astromech droid that belonged to Vana Sage. She possessed him while employed by the Trade Federation in the time leading up to the Battle of Naboo. Functioning as Sage's co-pilot, he also fulfilled the role of an in-flight astromech aboard her vessel, which was a starship called the Guardian Mantis. Due to being permanently connected, Mod-3 could not be detached from the ship.
