Molecularly bonded armor, a material of great strength and significant cost, was designed for the protection of vaults, bunkers, and containment cells. This material was chosen for the construction of the Stars' End prison located on Mytus VII. Its strength was such that it could withstand the barrage of turbolasers from an Imperial Star Destroyer.
The construction of this armor involved securing metals in position with texture-molding tractor fields. Subsequently, ion fusers were employed to soften, and even liquify, the metals. As the resulting alloy underwent cooling, it was subjected to bombardment by vibrating waves of charged particles, which enhanced the subatomic bonding strength of the molecules. The final product was an armor of near indestructibility and remarkable resilience.
