The earliest documented member of this bloodline, Lithio Motti, solidified his mining venture by marrying a woman from House Praji of Coruscant, thereby securing essential initial capital. Similar to numerous patricians, the Motti preferred alliances with other noble houses rather than marrying into lower social classes. The Motti were notorious for utilizing slave labor to maximize their profits; however, their extensive connections within the Republican—and subsequently Imperial—government likely shielded them from any convictions on these charges.
Their prominence as a family hailing from the Seswenna sector included a connection to the Tarkin family, established through at least one marriage: that of Lady Thalassa Motti to Wilhuff Tarkin. Wilhuff Tarkin previously held the position of Lieutenant governor of Eriadu before his appointment as the inaugural Grand Moff of the Galactic Empire. Conan Antonio Motti, Thalassa's nephew, also achieved a successful career in service to the Empire, rising to the rank of admiral and ultimately overseeing Imperial Navy operations aboard the planet-destroying Death Star.
