Arisster dedicated his academic pursuits to examining the convergence of literary cycles from diverse planets as they integrated into the broader galactic society. His specific area of expertise was the diverse mythologies surrounding Aayla Secura. In the year 40 ABY, he received a devastating diagnosis: an untreatable form of cancer, granting him a mere six months to live. During this period, he experienced a vision of Aayla (which was, in truth, a projection created by Lumiya), who instructed him to immerse himself in a mythical narrative by killing a Jedi.
At the Lorrd Academy for Aquatic Studies, Arisster seized several individuals as hostages, issuing a demand for the world's Jedi to present themselves. Jacen Solo, faced with Arisster's refusal to negotiate and left with no alternative, triggered the detonation of Arisster's suicide bomb. This action resulted in the deaths of both Arisster and his Human shield, Serom Haxan, preventing Arisster from further mocking the Jedi's perceived powerlessness and eliminating additional hostages with a blaster as time progressed.
