MU-12 was a housekeeping droid in the service of Jango Fett, responsible for the care of his son, Boba, during Jango's work-related absences.
This slender humanoid droid, specifically a housekeeping and administrative model, belonged to the bounty hunter Jango Fett. MU-12 functioned as a nanny and caretaker for young Boba Fett within Tipoca City on the planet Kamino, faithfully serving both of her masters for a number of years. Possessing a sharp intellect, MU-12 prepared food for the Fetts in the kitchen area of Jango's modest living quarters. She also maintained a small repair bay where she worked on Jango's equipment, although Jango was often irritated by the length of time MU-12 took to complete these tasks.
While his father was away on assignments, MU-12 diligently looked after Boba. She delivered Boba's meals, sometimes needing to urge him to stop playing with his toys to eat. The droid also managed Jango's communications, filtering out undesirable clients or fraudulent bounties. Following Fett's assassination of Vigo Antonin, MU-12 notified the hunter about an incoming holo communication from Fernooda, a Dug. Jango accepted Fernooda's offer, once again leaving Boba in MU-12's charge until after the Infant of Shaa incident. Furthermore, Fett had requested MU-12 to service his jetpack, but Jango's hasty departure prevented the droid from finishing the work. Jango grumbled that he would sell MU-12 for parts if she didn't provide such excellent care for his son, especially since his jetpack malfunctioned during his mission.
