Whiteworm

The Pertorqus candus, frequently called whiteworms or crystal worms, are massive organisms native to Mygeeto. This Outer Rim world is known for its gigantic ice crystals, which serve as the whiteworms' habitat. These creatures create their homes by burrowing into the planet's crystalline surface. Their skin possesses the unique ability to extract energy from Mygeeto's core, converting it into sustenance. Whiteworms are armed with a circular mouth filled with sharp teeth, allowing them to grind through the crystalline mountains of their world. Records of these creatures date back to the Ruusan Reformations period of the Galactic Republic, with mentions found within the Archives of the Jedi Order.

Behind the scenes

The Mygeetan whiteworm began as concept art for Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, but it was ultimately cut from the film's narrative. Despite this, the species received an official designation and was integrated into Star Wars lore through its appearance in The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force.
