The aquatic Naboo whale dwelled in the far southern oceans surrounding Naboo. The Gungan enterprise known as Binks & Son Whaling Company pursued these creatures for centuries, spanning hundreds of years, leading up to the birth of Jar Jar Binks. During one particular whaling expedition, while Jar Jar was accompanying his father, George R. Binks, in the hunt, they encountered a whale, successfully deploying a harpoon; however, Jar Jar's inept navigation resulted in their vessel colliding with the very whale they were targeting.
