Nampi was a female belonging to an indigenous species from the world of Orooturoo.
Jabba Desilijic Tiure and his associates were ensnared by Nampi on her Nuffin transport ship. As part of Orooturooan mating customs, where the female consumes the male, Nampi devoured Jabba's primary assistant, Scuppa, intending to make him her mate. Nevertheless, Jabba had implanted an explosive device within Scuppa's head, intended for use should Scuppa prove disloyal. Upon Nampi's consumption of Scuppa, Jabba detonated the explosive, resulting in Nampi's violent and fatal demise. Following Nampi's passing, Jabba commandeered her vessel and journeyed to Cabrool Nuum with the intention of gifting it.
