Natalia Nogulich


Natalia Nogulich, an American actress with a birthdate of October 1, 1950, is known for her work across theatre, television, and film. She lent her voice to the character of Mon Mothma within the Return of the Jedi radio drama. While Nogulich's given name is spelled "Natalija", it often appears as "Natalia" in her various credits.

Born in Chicago, Nogulich's career began with participation in local theatre groups. Her education spanned Illinois, Spain, Italy, and New York. One of her initial television appearances was in a 1980 episode of Lou Grant, which featured Ed Asner, a future colleague from Return of the Jedi. Her time in New York led to appearances on Broadway in Hurlyburly and The Iceman Cometh during 1984 and 1985. Since the 1980s, she has consistently worked in television. She is perhaps most recognized for her role as Vice Admiral Alynna Nechayev in four episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and two episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She has also made appearances in episodes of series like 24, Bones, and The West Wing.

Beyond her acting career, Nogulich has taken on directing roles in Illinois and the District of Columbia, and she has also authored a novel titled One Woman's War. Additionally, she has instructed theatre courses at numerous institutions. Presently, she resides in Chicago once more.
