Comparison between Duros and Neimoidians
The term Near-Duros refers to various species that, through extended periods of separation from the primary Duros population, evolved along somewhat divergent paths. This divergence was frequently driven by adaptation to differing environmental conditions over numerous years. Perhaps the most recognizable example of Near-Duros are the Neimoidians.
In Star Wars (1977) 79, a Duros character with yellow skin made an appearance, leading to speculation that they might be a near-Duros.
