Nebulon-Q Swoop Racer

The Nebulon-Q Swoop Racer, alternatively known as the Nebulon-Q racing swoop, represented a swoop model within the same product line from Mobquet as both the Nebulon-R Racer and the Nebulon-S Racer.

Description

The Mobquet Swoops and Speeders company manufactured the Nebulon-Q Swoop Racer as a single-seat swoop bike. This swoop, which measured three Imperial standard meters in length, was capable of attaining speeds of 600 kilometers per hour, thanks to its ion engines, and it possessed a flight ceiling of 350 kilometers. The Nebulon-Q had a cargo capacity of two kilograms and was sold without any weaponry. New models were priced at 5,500 credits, while used models cost 1,050 credits. It was available for purchase across the galaxy, although its sale required a license. Its size exceeded that of the Nebulon-R Racer.

Mobquet's AE318 swoop engine powered the craft, delivering thrust via two overcharged turbofans, and it incorporated a sophisticated avionics system.

History

The Nebulon-Q Swoop Racer gained a reputation as a "muscle swoop," and was favored by pirates, swoop gangs, and lawbreakers throughout the Outer Rim Territories. Furthermore, marketing efforts targeted professional swoop racing teams. Designed with speed as the primary focus, the Nebulon-Q included minimal safety provisions, such as a safety strap that was seldom used and steering control surfaces. The Flare-S swoop eventually superseded it.

The Dark Star Hellions made use of Nebulon-Q Swoop Racers. Additionally, The Skulls, a swoop gang operating from the Hook Nebula, employed modified Nebulon-Q swoops that could reach 750 kmh, had a 50-meter flight ceiling, and were equipped with a light blaster cannon.
