NEK-01

NEK-01 functioned as a droid designed for espionage, working for the Hutt family of Sonnos. Deggar Feps, a Human, incurred Sonnos' wrath, prompting NEK-01 to be dispatched to locate him; for several days, it utilized reconfigured droids to monitor Feps' location on the planet of Nal Hutta. Ultimately, NEK-01 discovered Feps' intention to depart Nal Hutta on the Dartiss-5 Caravel named Lost Lady. Consequently, it deployed NEK-072—a protocol droid equipped with a homing beacon and imbued with NEK-01's programming—to infiltrate the ship and transmit a signal, summoning nearby bounty hunters to obliterate the vessel immediately. NEK-01's intention was for the Lost Lady to be ambushed and annihilated, thereby enabling the spy droid to claim the bounty issued for Feps' capture.
