Nephs, enormous and gentle flying creatures, originated from Dalos IV. Their method of flight involved producing hydrogen from atmospheric water vapor, which was then kept in internal pouches. Altitude adjustments were achieved by modulating the quantity of stored gas. They possessed an elongated, rudder-shaped tail along with broad, pliable wings that aided in steering.
The diet of Nephs consisted of bugs and airborne pollen found within the atmosphere. While juvenile nephs could accommodate a lone passenger, fully grown specimens were capable of carrying as many as twenty individuals within gondolas attached to their underbelly.
Specifically, younger nephs were utilized within the trophy chase, a favored competitive activity that was common on Dalos IV.
