New Republic Yavin orbital fleet

The New Republic Yavin orbital fleet consisted of military starships positioned above the moon of Yavin 4. Their purpose was to safeguard the Jedi Praxeum located on the ground below. As a component of this military deployment, the New Republic also maintained guards on the moon itself to secure the Praxeum's hangar. During 24 ABY, Anja Gallandro absconded from the moon after stealing a freighter named the Lightning Rod. Because the fleet was not ready to stop anyone from leaving the moon, they could not stop her from leaving without permission.
