A male Human technician, Nils Cridmeen, existed during the time of the Galactic Civil War.
During the year 1 ABY, Nils Cridmeen found himself on the world of Dathomir when an accident occurred at the Imperial Research and Prison Facility. The Blackwing virus, which was being studied there, broke free of its containment and ravaged the local population, transforming them into ravenous undead beings. The Galactic Empire quickly established a Quarantine Zone to control the spread of the infection. A small number of individuals, including Nils Cridmeen, managed to survive the initial outbreak but were subsequently trapped within the Quarantine Zone. To defend against the constant zombie attacks and seek safety while awaiting rescue, the survivors formed settlements.

Nils Cridmeen sought refuge in Camp Epsilon, the most dangerous of the camps due to its location within the courtyard of the Imperial Research and Prison Facility, the home of the most dangerous undead. Among the other survivors present in the camp were Zsu Val, a former prisoner; Sogan Varga, a technician; Klex Fulgor, an Inquisitor; and the stormtroopers GT-643, KD-121, and HX-138. Nils Cridmeen and HX-138 hoped to repair a Lambda-class shuttle located at the camp, allowing the survivors to escape the Quarantine Zone.
On one occasion, a group of spacers stopped at Camp Epsilon while traveling through the Quarantine Zone. They intended to assist HX-138 in exchange for the support of HX-138 and her stormtroopers to gain access to the research facility. HX-138 tasked the spacers with finding parts to repair the damaged Lambda shuttle: power converters, a computer core memory, a spinal trunk and fuel cells. The spacers explored the Quarantine Zone and collected the needed parts on the wreckage of crashed shuttles and brought them to Nils Cridmeen. The mechanic began the repairs while the spacers entered the research facility. The spacers survived to their mission and finally came back to Camp Epsilon. During this time, Nils Cridmeen successfully repaired the Lambda-class shuttle. Ultimately, the refugees from Camp Epsilon and the spacers used the repaired shuttle to flee the Quarantine Zone together.
Within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts before its closure on December 15, 2011, Nils Cridmeen was a non-player character. Nils Cridmeen was introduced to the game with "Game Update 14," also known as the "Death Troopers" update, which was released on October 12, 2009.
