D'harhan: the solitary survivor
The term living weapons described a group of Niordi scouts who volunteered for an extreme operation. This procedure involved the integration of cybernetics and weaponry directly into their bodies. The goal was to transform the Niordi into mobile artillery platforms with the intelligence of sentient beings. These living weapons were deployed against the Leech Legions, who had launched an assault on the Niorde homeworld planet.
Among these living weapons was the mercenary known as D'harhan. D'harhan, an associate of Boba Fett, journeyed with his fellow Niordi scouts to a secret laboratory. There, he underwent the intense surgical alterations that converted him into a life-support system. This system powered a steam-vented, liquid-cooled laser emplacement, modeled after those found on an Alsakan battle cruiser. A light-mass core fueled the weapon itself. The procedure necessitated the removal of D'harhan's head; his brain was then cryogenically frozen and housed within a durasteel box, which was affixed to his breastplate. His heart and lungs were repositioned, other organs were excised, and the weapon's base was anchored to his collarbones and spine. Boba Fett witnessed the entire process, having been brought to the system by Nashtah.
Tragically, several Niordi scouts perished during the surgical transformation. By the time the remaining subjects were combat-ready, the Leech Legions had already overwhelmed Niorde. D'harhan, along with his cyborg comrades, launched an assault on the enemy flagship. He emerged as the sole survivor of this engagement.
