The NK-3 ion cannon was a kind of ion cannon designed for use on starfighters, produced by Borstel Galactic Defense. Cygnus Spaceworks incorporated the NK-3 weaponry on their Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wings, and Sienar Fleet Systems did the same for their TIE/D Defenders. These craft both served within the Imperial Navy during the time of the Galactic Civil War. The Star Wing and the TIE Defender each mounted a pair of these cannons, employing them to render enemy ships inoperable.
