In the year 9 ABY, Grand Admiral Thrawn orchestrated an intelligence raid using Imperial scout ships against the vast extensive library of Obroa-skai, with the goal of discovering the whereabouts of the planet known as Wayland. While on patrol in the system, an Elomin task force, acting as part of the New Republic's attempts to integrate Obroa-skai, pursued the fleeing scouts as they jumped into hyperspace.
