Omega Exercise

An Omega Exercise served as a training method utilized by the Imperial Academy. During this type of exercise, a cadet assumed command of a platoon composed of stormtroopers, acting as a cadet leader, and was deployed into active battle scenarios to evaluate their courage when facing live fire. The assessment and perspective of the supervising officer held significant weight in determining the final outcome. Achieving a passing grade was essential for graduation from the Academy; individuals who did not obtain the required score in their Omega Exercise faced expulsion from the Academy and were relegated to the role of regular enlisted personnel.

Kyle Katarn's experience with the Omega Exercise involved the 1 BBY attack on AX-456.
