Operation Katabatic refers to a number of attacks carried out by the Republic against strategically important Separatist installations throughout the Battle of Atraken. Although the Separatist military was ultimately vanquished because of this offensive, the planet was transformed into an uninhabitable, barren landscape as a result of the conflict.
